Residents Happy With Gordon's Action On Alleyway

The residents of Hebden Avenue were quite disheartened recently as they looked down their back alley to find litter building up, weeds growing and huge pot holes creating a messy and even dangerous environment for the local residents in the area.

The residents decided to contact Gordon and inform him of the problems that were building up down the alley. Gordon took up the case swiftly and contacted the local Council prompting them to take action on the alleyway.

The Council wrote back to Gordon informing him that it was the responsibility of the residents to maintain that part of the area. However, due to Gordon’s firm campaigning and constant lobbying the Council decided to clean up the alleyway, removing loose litter, killing weeds and planning to fill in the pot holes by the end of the year.

Gordon received letters of thanks for the action he undertook. Gordon said, “I am glad to see the Council decided to take action to clean up the alley behind Hebden Avenue. It is very unfair if local people have to put up with messy conditions at the back of their homes and I intend to supervise other alleys around Blackpool North and ensure they are well maintained.”
